Duffbag evolved, like many good ideas, out of developing products for our own use to solve simple problems.

Our problem was simple... We went mountain biking on a weekend, got covered in mud and got changed when we got back to the car. We would hurl all our wet muddy gear - cycling clothing, camelbaks, body armour, helmets and shoes into the boot or the back of the car and head for home. Come Monday morning the car looked and smelt like a wet dog had slept in there.

Like many people we initially used bin liners or laundry bags to stash the gear away, but got fed up with them leaking, tearing, found them hard to carry and did not like looking like the "mad bin lady from down the road on laundry day"

There had to be a better way...

We started looking around for a big bag to throw dirty kit in that would be water resistant, resilient, look cool and keep mud and car interiors separate.

We could not find anything that we really liked or felt worked how we wanted it to work so decided to make our own - after many prototypes we came up with "duffbag".

Duffbag is a large bag that is made from a special high quality nylon with a coated lining that is designed to keep the moisture and mud where you want it - in the bag.

Duffbag also has a built in changing mat for changing from riding shoes or wetsuits in draughty car parks plus a built in pocket for storing riding shoes or boots.

Initially we used them ourselves but kept being asked where we got them from so started selling them to friends and fellow mountain bikers, word got round and we started to sell them further afield, soon we heard that they were being used to stash wetsuits from our friends in the surfing and sailing community, then the winter sports crowd got interested from here duffbag the website was born.

Duffbags are made in England to a very high standard and are built to take the kind of abuse that you can throw at them, as we say: "have fun, get dirty and wet, then stuff it in a duff".
