After a hard day on the water the last thing I want to worry about is my wet, sandy gear. I just stuff it in my duffbag and deal with it when I get home David Connor Bristol

Further to your recent email I wanted to write and thank you for all your help with regards to delivery of my bag. I have now received this, delivered mid week. Many Thanks, really do appreciate it - Lol Caslin Cheshire

I have just used the Monster Duff Bag on a cycle trip the length of Britain.  I stayed in B&Bs and hotels including some good quality hotels and the bag worked exactly as I wanted.  It was always good to get to an hotel (sometimes soaking wet), put the bike in the Monster and present myself with a (fairly) normal piece of luggage which was always accepted.
As you can tell, the bag worked well. A great product - Eddie Dolbear, Kent

The bag has arrived.
Thank you, firstly, for making one available for me at such short notice and, secondly, for creating such a great product.

The bag is exactly what I've been looking for - most are so huge you can get the car in the bag rather than the bag in car!

Again, thank you. - Stuart Windsor London

Just thought I'd drop you line and say thanks for the bags.
I work for the MOD and do a lot of travelling spending many nights in hotels very bored, after finding your products I had a dry and clean way of storing my bike and gear and was able to bring the old bike away with me as you can see from the pic of my gear in my hotel room.

Thanks again!!!!- Darren Smith, Kent

Thought I'd show you us on our travels. Craig, Julian and Phil cycling

Got the bag and used it to take my road bike down to Italy on the train. Absolutely fantastic. Fitted my road bike (61cm) with wheels and seatpost out, bars off. Wheels in wheel bag provided most of the padding needed. Plenty of room left for helmet, tools and bottles.

I took a handful of photos, please find attached. As you can see it fits upright in the standard luggage rack on the Eurostar. On the sleeper train it fit on the luggage rack over the corridor. On the way back form Italy there was actually 4 of us with 3 bikes in a single compartment on the sleeper. A little tight, but doable.

Still impressed with the bag, am going to use it again in August when my girlfriend and I take the train to Slovenia to go mountain biking

- Rob Harold, London

The Duff Bike Bags were perfect. They did exactly what they needed to do, which was to get all our bikes down here in one piece and then fold away into virtually nothing. Find out more here

Duffbag Presents a Range of

Sweet-Looking Travel Bags for Dirty MTBs

posted by MaxLeonard on Bike Rumour - March 8, 2011 - 3pm UTC

The mid-sized Race bag; The Monster, the biggest, fits a full-sus MTB with only the front wheel popped off.

Just come to our attention is UK-based bag manufacturer Duffbag, who are fresh out this season with a good looking range of bike bags and travel accessories.

The bags are aimed mostly at mountain bikers, and are designed to keep wet, dirty and muddy bikes from damaging or soiling the inside of the car, camper, van or house - since the last thing many want to do after a race or a trail ride is hose a bike down before packing it in the car for the journey home.

The company's founder, Andrew Hart, adds that many customers also use the Duffbag to keep their expensive steed away from prying eyes - when packing it in the street, or leaving it in the van.

Made for cleanliness and convenience, the bags aren't padded, but they are made from a tough, 600-denier water-resistant outer shell and have waterproof PVC lining. They're strategically reinforced to protect from spindles poking out, and with tough straps and available in a range of sizes.

The largest, the Monster, will take a full-suspension MTB with only the front wheel popped out and the bars turned round. The second size, the Race, will take a smaller mountain bike, cyclocross or road bike.

The Stealth, meanwhile, requires some bike disassembly and is designed to be easiest to carry, and  for super-lightweight travelling - on a train for example, where full bikes aren't welcome. The advantage of the size and lack of padding are that the empty bag will fold up almost to the size of a magazine, so it can easily be stowed away in a hotel room, or stashed in a pack at the destination.

The company also makes a kit bag, and will do custom runs for teams or others wanting something special.

We were impressed with the design and feel of the bags when we saw them at the London Bike Show. Expect a full BikeRumor review soon, when we take to the European railroads to take a road bike to the southern Alps

Who buys duffbags?

We plotted our sales on a map over the past few months to see where our customers were located, our most popular area is Manchester, helped by a bulk order from the Manchester Mountain Bike Club, but our sales seem to follow the mountain biking hotspots throughout the country - there must be one near you!"

This chart is a little out of date now, the map is pretty well covered in dots now, plus we have a few retailers stocking the bags across the country.

Export Sales?

We regularly export our bags and ship to North America weekly, plus mainland Europe. We have also shipped to Hong Kong and Australia.

A bright and early, minus 5 degrees start saw us teetering down crispy trails, carefully choosing lines that avoided the ice. Five minutes in our confidence picked up as it was nowhere near as slippy as it looked and there was plenty of grip as the tyres bit through the top layer of powdery snow. [...]more
